The
Master Mind Jesus was Radical, Mystical, Powerful, Authoritative and
demonstrated the Truth to a Greater extent than anyone before or after
Him. The religious leaders of His time, however, did not see Him
as Radical, Mystical, Powerful and Authoritative ... they declared Him
to be vile and blasphemous! He was a Jewish Mystic teaching a New
Dispensation that few in His time understood. Fewer still were
those who had the faith and conviction to follow His teachings. He
stated, "I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life." "I
Am," He stated ... not me Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Each of us has within us this "I Am." And each of us has
within us "the Way, the Truth and the Life." The Way is
to seek God above all else. The Truth is that there is only One
Power, One Presence, One Infinite Intelligence, God. The Life is
the Life Of God expressing Itself through us, as us and for us at All
Times. Therefore, God Is All we need ... All we will ever need
when we nurture and foster the conviction that God Is our All In All.
Religious Science is the closest spiritual/religious philosophy to the
teachings of Jesus ... it is in fact, the Religion Of Jesus ...
Religious Science is Radical, Mystical, Powerful and Authoritative and
if we "learn and practice" the Principles taught in Religious
Science we can understand and realize Jesus' statement, "these
things I do and greater things still shall you do."
"The
Science of Mind," written by Dr. Ernest Holmes contains 84 pages
devoted to the Teachings Of Jesus and the New Testament. Each
Principle taught by Religious Science can be traced to the Teachings Of
Jesus will little effort. However, to truly understand the
Teachings Of Jesus and Religious Science, we must let go of almost
everything that we have been taught ... much of what we have considered
the Truth ... and we must begin to embody the concept taught by Jesus:
"Be in the world but not of the world." The
world, like the religious leaders of Jesus' time ... will attempt to
convince us that Jesus was God ... or that Jesus was a fraud. Both
ideas are erroneous and will prevent us from demonstrating a Life of
freedom, joy, peace, harmony, strength and abundance.
Jesus taught "the Way" and "narrow is the gate and few
are they that enter." But, by using the Principles contained
in the Science of Mind, the very same Principles that Jesus taught ...
more of us will enter into the Fuller Life.
Unfortunately, many of the churches and centers that teach Religious
Science, along with those who teach Christianity ... have wavered in
their conviction of the Teachings Of Jesus (Truth) and have watered down
the teachings to a concept of "comfort" rather than
"healing." The focus has moved from "healing"
to oftentimes entertainment and social circles ... a sanctuary from the
world rather than a teaching of how to be in the world but not of the
world ... a greater value has been placed on intellectual knowledge
rather than demonstration of the Principles ... which is a dead-end.
Many churches and centers of Religious Science have allowed the teaching
to be infiltrated with other teachings ... teachings that are mystical
and wonderful ... but have no real authority and dominion to their
philosophies. The Mystical teachings of
Jesus and Dr. Ernest Holmes give us Life Mastery ... rather than
mystical mystery.
Jesus was a healer ... He
commanded those who followed Him to "heal, prosper and bless."
To teach the Principles that He taught and ignore the command to
"heal" ... brings confusion into the lives of the teachers and
those who are being taught. To
"heal" in the spiritual sense is to "revitalize" ...
to "bring back to life" ... those areas of our lives that are
dis-eased ... to restore health in the midst of sickness, happiness in
the midst of sadness, prosperity in the midst of lack and limitation ...
all this and more is possible. Dr. Holmes could have easily made
the same statement as Jesus, "these things I do and greater things
still shall you do!"
And
So It Is!
