34
And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they
do." And they cast lots to divide his garments. 35
And the people stood by, watching; but the rulers scoffed at him,
saying, "He saved others; let him save himself, if he is the Christ
of God, his Chosen One!" 36
The soldiers also mocked him, coming up and offering him vinegar, 37
and saying, "If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!" 38
There was also an inscription over him, "This is the King of the
Jews." 39 One of the
criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying, "Are you not the
Christ? Save yourself and us!"
The
complete statement that Jesus made was, "Forgive them Father for
they know not what they do." The ancients in Jesus' time were
fairly primitive in their thinking and their beliefs, giving power to
the religious and political leaders of the age. Most of them
believed in two gods .. God and the Devil ... Good and Evil ... Heaven
and Hell ... Life and Death. This belief in duality continues
today and most of us walk around with so much of this in our
consciousness we continually struggle to experience love and joy
consistently in our lives.
We do not
manifest prosperity because we live in fear of poverty. We do not
manifest loving companionship because we live in fear of loneliness.
We do not manifest health and vitality because we fear illnesses and
have made doctors and prescription drugs our gods. We cannot
remain at peace for long because we continue to believe in the lie ...
rather than the Truth. Far too many of us continue to believe that
life after death somehow ends our struggles ... but ... death has no
power ... Life is where the power Is ... for God Is Life ... Life Lives
... and it is in realizing this Living Presence of God in our lives ...
that we "loose" the fear and therefore "lose" the
experiences that are not of God ... or Good. We don't have to
struggle ... we don't have to fight ... we just have to "know what
we are doing." What are we giving power to? Who
are we giving power to? If it is not God ... then it is not Good.
The
Master Jesus did save Himself ... He knew that His Life was God.
God does not die. In the realization that God Is the Only Power
and the Only Presence ... Jesus knew that death, poverty, illness ...
were a lie. Jesus knew that no matter how powerful the religious
and political leaders were perceived as being ... their power was an
illusion caused by fear. "Fear not little flock, for it is
the Father's Good pleasure to give you the kingdom." The
kingdom is Life ... Eternal and Ever-Lasting ... in demonstrating Truth
... Jesus saved Himself ... and you and me ... if we choose to believe
Him.
And
So It Is!

Love Use Me In Its Own Good Way,
