 The
Master Mind Jesus: "As
you sow, so shall you reap."
Jesus taught that we live in a "sowing and reaping universe."
"As you sow, so shall you reap," stated the Greatest Teacher
the world has ever known.
This morning I saw the results of a poll posted on Yahoo.com stating
that 76% of Americans polled support the war with Iraq.
In Religious Science we don't deny "what is," we don't judge
it and we don't name it as either Good or Bad ... what is ...
"is." However, we understand that "what is" is
an effect of the prevailing consciousness..... and in this case, we can
know that the War in Iraq is an "effect" of a world
consciousness manipulated by fear .... "what we seek, we find"
... always and forever .... we look for an enemy and we shall find them
... we look to people to guide us ... and people will guide us .... we
look to God to guide us and God will guide us .... but we don't get to
have it both ways .... we do not "reap" what we do not
"sow" and we will always "reap" what we do
"sow." This is an immutable, eternal Law of the
Universe.... as we "sow" our faith in the false sense of
security that seemingly "winning a war" brings us ... we lose
the true security of "sowing" our faith in the Omnipotent
Power of God or Good.
Anyway you look at it there is no "WIN
in WAR."
There never has been, for in our ignorance of the Law of the Universe we
continue to perpetuate that which can never be a WIN .... we only
continue to "sow the seeds" for future wars. This is
what we are sowing .... a future filled with more of what we are
manifesting Now. The results of the poll, 76% supporting the war,
is evidence of the prevailing consciousness.
I
would guess that a great many of these 76% respondents are Christians
.... but do they truly believe in the Christ message? "But
I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to
them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and
persecute you."
A Jewish friend
of mine told me that what we need is for the Messiah to come and
straighten this all out ... who would listen to him or her? I don't
think many would.... most people only give "lip service" to
the teachings of Jesus or twist them to meet the objectives of their own
agendas .. Jesus could not have made the Principles of Life more simple
.. there is no
Messiah coming ... and don't look for Jesus to come back either ... He
already gave us His Best ....
the Messiah we seek is in the midst of each of us .... we each must seek
the demonstration of Truth in our lives and then we will see a different
world around us.
As
Americans, we can examine our currency and read the words, "In God
We Trust" .... but we don't? Emerson
stated that to do the same thing over and over again and expect a
different result is the definition of insanity ....
can anyone truly believe that we can demonstrate peace by warring
against each other ... that killing will eliminate our enemies?
That bombing and killing innocent people shows our Trust in God ....
Infinite Good?
Already there is a movement to make France our enemy because the French
would not go along with this war. I have already received a
message asking for boycotts of French products and companies.
Rather than boycott France maybe we should just bomb them too .... after
all, they could be a "threat" to us too ... they could turn
out to be right .... and for far too many of us that would just not do
... because too many of us want to see enemies ... want to do God's work
because WE DON'T TRUST GOD TO HANDLE THE UNIVERSE ... and too many of us
want to be right ... and W-A-R
= WE'RE ALWAYS RIGHT! BUT ... IF WAR MAKES US RIGHT ... THEN JESUS
WAS WRONG!!
And
