You
don't have to go shopping to give the most important gifts to your self.
On Thursday, December 6th's, "Way To A Wonderful Life"
radio broadcast, I began talking about "maintaining our
momentum," when the statement "that
which I am seeking is seeking me," became predominant in
my mind. As I moved forward with the dialog, I began to realize
that this statement is definitive of the "Law
of Mind." So often we do our prayer work faithfully,
we meditate regularly, read spiritual books often, and still our life
experience reveals little, if any, change for the better.
This idea stayed with me for a few days and became key to my study and
prayer work. On Sunday, December 9th, Dr. Barbara King gave the
Sunday Message at the City of Angels Church of Religious Science.
Dr. King's message began with "You are the
Prayer," and then moved to a message on "acceptance."
The message gave four steps to realizing the fulfillment of prayer with
Step #4 as, "that which I am seeking is
seeking me." Well, Spirit doesn't have to hit me over
the head to convince me that there is something in the statement, "that
which I am seeking is seeking me," for me to further realize
and teach.
We can realize, as did the Master Mind Jesus, that everything
we seek, we seek it in our mind. Our mind is constantly
seeking through our thoughts and whatever our predominant thoughts are,
we will find in our visible experience. If we are seeking success
but our predominant thoughts are on the fear of failure, we will reap
the experience of failure. If we are seeking a relationship but
our predominant thoughts are on the idea that there are so few really
good relationships, then we will either delay our experience of a good
relationship or we will experience a relationship filled with doubts.
In March I will be giving a workshop at the City of Angels Church of
Religious Science on Prosperity. In February, I will be giving a
workshop at the Palm Springs New Thought Church of Today on
Relationships. My sub-title for the Prosperity workshop is, "Prosperity
Is One With A Mind That Is Free." I could use this
same statement for the Relationship workshop, "Good Relationships
Are One With A Mind That Is Free." Everything
Good Is One With A Mind That Is Free, and this is the Truth.
For unless our mind is free of doubts, worry, resentments, competition,
fear, jealousy and past experiences, we cannot demonstrate the Good that
we seek with grace and ease. Yes, we can demonstrate it with
struggle and anxiety and the struggle and anxiety will surely stay with
us until we "free our mind."
We must work to "free our mind." We must know
that this is the greatest gift we can receive and the only one that can
give it to us, is our self. Nobody else has it to give to us and
nobody can give it to us, even if they wanted to. We must give it
to our self. And the only place we can shop for this gift is in
our mind. We must actively discipline our
mind to "cast out" all thoughts unlike that which we desire to
see "present" in our life. We must "shout
out" the old beliefs, the old self doubts, and the remnants of past
experiences that hold us in bondage to mistakes, confusion and blocks to
our happiness, peace and joy, that persistently come into our mind.
The Radical Rabbi stated, "it is done unto
you as you believe," in other words, "that which I am seeking
is seeking me," for I can only "believe" with my mind and
I can only "seek" with my mind. So, we must set our mind
free. We must build a conviction in our mind to be free of all the
old "stuff" that does not serve to create a life of freedom
from discord and struggle. This is
the gift we must receive and we must give it to our self. Now is
the time, it will be our greatest "PRESENT."
And
So It Is!

in Its own Good Way,
