For most of my life I never understood the phrase, "chosen people."  It always seemed exclusive to me and as I studied the Bible diligently in my 20s and early 30s, I could never connect the revelation from the Book of Genesis that Man was created in the image and the likeness of God .... and the idea of "chosen people."  Either God created Man in His image and likeness or He didn't ... the idea of "chosen people" would mean that God created "some of us" in His image and likeness, and others were created as just so much junk .... but, the Book of Genesis is clear ... 26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth." 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

               My good friend,
Harvey Kraus, enlightened me on what is meant by the statement "chosen people."  According to Harvey, it is not about God "choosing" certain people, but instead, people choosing God.  Many people will point to the Books of the Old Testament and assert that the Hebrew people were considered the "chosen people."  However, when we look at the Bible as a revelation to Man from God, we find that the Hebrew people "chose God."  In the Book of Isaiah we can read, "I, I Am the Lord, thou shalt have no gods but me."  This means there is only God .... not God and some other power.... not two Gods.... but One ... One God .. One Power, One Presence, One Infinite Intelligence ... God and God alone.  This Is the Truth that sets us free..... the Truth that Jesus knew .. that the Buddha knew, that Krishna knew and all the Great Mystics who have revealed the Truth to the world.

Now the history of our world exemplifies how very important it is that we understand that there is not God and something else.  Out belief in duality ... Good and evil .. God and something else ... has created the seeming separation that we experience from God.  Most of us have had a devil-ish time wrestling with the idea of God and this man-created something else on an individual level and we can certainly see the effects of this "false-belief" in our world.  The Master Mind Jesus stated that we are to "be in the world but not of the world."  In other words, let everyone who wants to believe in enemies ... find their enemies .... let everyone who wants to blame someone else or a d-evil for their problems in life blame them .... but let's stay out of it.  Let's not get caught up in a "world gone mad" denying God ... denying that God Is All There Is .... seeing enemies when in Truth ... we can only see God .... "there is none other."  Nothing but God .... All God .... All The Time!

We must always choose God ... for in choosing God we become "chosen" through our "choosing" ....to Be vessels that receive the Love, Harmony, Joy, Health, Happiness, Strength and Power from the One, Infinite Source.  The only possible enemy ... or devil ... that we need to be wary of .... is the person who calls someone else his/her enemy .... or who talks more about a devil .... then they do GOD!

 And So It Is!
Letting Love Use Me In Its Own Good Way,
