September
11, 2001 transformed our lives and the world we live in. Everyone
was affected by what happened and we continue to live with changes in
our world because of the events of September 11, 2001 and since.
And the biggest change for many is that they have become conscious of
fear in themselves and in others. And for some ... they have lost
their faith in God ... because what happened was so outside of anything
that they thought was possible based on their concept of God. Many
ask how could God let this happen? ... or, where was God on September
11, 2001? ... and it is not easy for many people to hold on to their
faith in God's protection and security in the face of such destruction
and misery.
And for many people, it is almost impossible
for them to make the leap-of-faith that knows that God's Omnipresent
Goodness was right there with all those we loved and lost to this
world. And as we turn to the Truth of our Being and realize that
we are Spirit, Life and Truth ... created in the image and like-ness of
the Infinite ... we know that this Spirit, Life and Truth is both true
here and in the here-after. And, even more importantly, we can
understand that God, Infinite Presence, never forsakes us. And for
some, these words will give them great comfort ... but there are many
people who are not ready to accept these words as anything more than a
possibility ... but not necessarily the truth. "Lo, I Am with
thee always," revealed the Master Mind Jesus ... and this "I
Am" is Almighty God, Infinite Spirit. But ... we must turn
completely from the physical to realize this great Truth ... we must
turn to the Great Un-Seen ... that part of us that is created in Its
like-ness ... Spirit ... the Divine nature of each of us.
This 9-1-1 message that came to us is
ultimately for our Good ... and this takes a great stretch in our
"belief-system" for so many of us. In my personal
viewpoint, it was a message that it is easier for us to destroy
ourselves than it is for us to realize our Unity ... our One-ness with
each other and with God. And we must realize it before we destroy
ourselves. This is the Highest Truth ... but ... those who are
"of the world" will find it difficult to consider this ... for
this understanding comes from our "other-world" nature ... our
Spiritual nature. The "world" has taught us to see
"division" where there is "One" ... One Life, One
God ... One Infinite Spirit flowing in and through each and every one of
us.
As we continue to see "division" ...
we will act upon this "false belief" ... and this may result
in all manner of seeming misery and catastrophes. And there have
been many since September 11, 2001 ... and the sorrow that was felt by
those of us in this country ... especially those who lost their loved
ones ... has been felt by others across the globe. And the misery
continues ... and not just in Iraq and Afghanistan ... but in the hearts
of all those who have been affected by the continued terrorist action
and for those who have lost their sons, daughters, grandchildren and
fathers and mothers ... in the wars that are continuing five years
later.
As we see "divisions" ... between
ourselves and others ... divisions between our cultures, our
nationalities, our races ... and more ... we hinder true Peace from
manifesting in our world. These divisions may not "seem"
so severe ... but this negative energy accumulates throughout the world
and creates violence against others ... and violence against
ourselves.
We must make a determined effort to recognize
our One-ness with each other in order to replace the thousands of years
the world has recognized divisions. Look honestly at the people in
your life ... which ones have we "separated" from our love,
our peace and our joy ... we must make every effort to "heal this
division" ... and in so doing we begin to heal our world ... and
prevent future generations from reaping the "seeds of
division" we have sown.
Please join me tomorrow,
September 11, 2006, in recognizing our One-ness with those here who
continue to suffer from the events of September 11, 2001 and the
subsequent events throughout the world ... and do this also for those in
the here-after who went before us ... let's affirm that peace and love
are with them ... for in Truth we know that God is with them, right here
and in the here-after.
