"Infinite
Mind cannot retract its divine announcement.
No matter how far you may seem to wander from the divine fiat,
you still remain the divine you. Backsliding
is only in thought, never in Principle.
You never left your divinity; only your thought wandered.
This is important to know. You
may have periods when your spiritual growth seems to have stopped.
It has not. Nothing
has happened to you. ... Now
let’s get very positive. Begin
to give yourself credit. Rejoice
in the divine you. Recognize
it as a center of power. You
are in conscious control, and you know it.
Good things are coming to you because you know they belong to
you."

Bitzer, Collected Essays
The
paragraphs above written by Dr. Bitzer gives us a greater insight into
our Divine/Human experience. As our mind focuses on that which is
outside of us, rather than remaining in tune with that which is within,
we unconsciously lose sight of our divinity. There is that within
us which is never touched by our experiences. It always remains
perfect, whole, and complete. This is our divinity ... this is the
image and likeness of God. As Dr. Bitzer reminds us, backsliding
is only in thought, never in Principle. And this is why we never
need waste time thinking about it. The moment our mind recognizes,
again, who we are in Truth, the backsliding is behind us ... just like
yesterday's lunch ... it is done with.
It is important for all of us to take the time
each day to reflect on our divinity. It is one thing to know this
intellectually, but something quite different to have the realization of
it. And we will never truly gain the realization of it on a
consistent level, unless we make it a daily practice to recognize that
we are much more than we appear to be. Remember, our divinity is
not obvious in the physical; we can't see it, hear it, taste it, or
touch it. We can only realize it in mind ... in our thoughts.
We have accepted many ideas about ourselves and
about our lives. As we think of these ideas, which ones do we want
to experience? This is where "choice" becomes conscious
to us. By asking ourselves the questions, we consciously become
more in tune with the power of choice. "Choice" is our
center of power. It is the way in which we activate the Power of
God in our lives. Everything that we experience is created first,
in our mind.
Every change that we seek for ourselves must
first begin with a change of mind. Our state of mind as we
contemplate and vision what we choose for ourselves is of utmost
importance. It does little good for someone to vision the perfect
marriage with their spouse while carrying on an affair with someone else
... or to vision for money and at the same time run around
"pour-mouthing" to people. Mind is constant and
omnipresent ... we cannot manipulate Mind, we only get from It what we
give to It. So, let's always be very clear about what we choose
for ourselves and what we vision for ourselves.
When we begin to think from the demonstration
(desired result), we will find that our state of mind has changed as
well. We will be motivated to expand our vision and to consider
ways in which our demonstration will unfold. But, let's not get
sidetracked by how it happens ... but keep knowing that it is.
When our conversations become the conversation of a healthy person, then
we will be healed of what ails us ... and the same applies to everything
in life that we desire for ourselves. Rich people don't talk about
being poor or how many coupons they cut out of the Sunday paper ...
these are not the subjects of conversation for the wealthy. Our
conversations reveal our consciousness and we must correct the thoughts
that create these in order to demonstrate something greater in our
lives.
There is an
awesome divine-ness within us. As our dominant thought is directed
definitely towards something ... we cannot help but receive it.
Let us affirm, "Good things are coming to me because I know they
belong to me" ... and as we have this conviction and do not waver
... we will receive that which we know is ours. There is no
necessity to struggle or resist that which "appears" to block
our Good ... it has no power ... our "definite-ness" is
aligned with the only Power there Is. As Dr. Bitzer writes so
definitely: "Heaven is your state of consciousness, and earth
is whatever you have chosen to manifest." Our awesome
divine-ness is the complete Law, God becoming aware of God through us
and expressing through our actions. God-as-me, God-for-me, and
God-through-me ... this is all the Power we will ever need.
Awesome!
AND
SO IT IS!
Keep
the faith!
