"I wouldn't be
comfortable doing that" ... someone once told me. And, I
thought ... but why do you want to be comfortable? I want a
comfortable bed to sleep in. A comfortable chair to sit in.
I want to live in a comfortable home. But, other than that ...
comfortable is not a word that appeals to me much.
Comfortable ... can translate into
dis-ease ... it makes a claim on us to not do anything that disturbs our
life from its usual routine or patterns. Seeking to be comfortable
can hold us back from moving into experiences that broaden our awareness
of life. The Universe is inherent with growth and expansiveness
... and on and individual level we must be willing to grow and expand
... otherwise we are fighting against Life. And it is a fight we
cannot win ... for in Truth our fight is against the Infinite.
The masses of people have been so conditioned
to not being conscious of Omnipresence that they still believe that
there is something outside of them that wants them to do something ...
whether this is a friend, a co-worker, family member, etc. ... but
there is no one outside of us asking us to do or be anything but our
Self. Believe me ... we are far more powerful than most people
think we are. If we want to experience something or do something
different in our lives, we will attract to us the person or the thing
that brings it to our attention. But ... we do this on a deeper
level than the conscious mind ... and this is where the confusion comes
in.
The conscious mind ... functioning at the
level of the world ... will convince us that there is a power operating
outside of us that gives to us or takes from us. This confused
perception distorts the Truth of Being and defies the Omnipotence of
consciousness. There is nothing outside of us ... and everything
and everyone in our life is reflecting our consciousness back to us.
This "mirror" ... so to speak ... reflects back to me my
conscious and my subconscious desires and beliefs. As we
understand this, we can begin to understand our true Self more and more.
We can shed our old ideas and beliefs about life and truly begin to
realize a greater potential within ourselves to expand our experiences
of life, love and joy ... and even our level of success and prosperity.
The more we understand that the only power in our lives is always within
us ... never outside of us ... there is an infinite possibility
available to us, to use this power in a more creative, life-affirming,
expansive way. The world is filled with opportunities for great
love, success, prosperity and adventure ... but we will never know this
as long as we say "NO to Life" rather than "YES to
Life!"
I
believe that the level of our awareness of Omnipresence, Omnipotence and
Omniscience ... is our level of consciousness. We can't fake
consciousness ... it is the "Un-seen that will be seen" in all
of our lives. It is like saying "I am in the Science of
Mind" ... but our lives will reflect how much of the "Science
of Mind is in us." We can't deceive the Infinite ... and we
can't cheat the Infinite ... and whatever it is that we want to deny
about ourselves ... will be the very thing that denies us a greater
happiness and joy in life. Life is not meant to be a "comfort
zone" ... life is meant to be dynamic, filled with progressive
change and a greater advancement in our awareness of who and what we
truly are. And we won't find any of this in our comfort zone.
And So It Is!
