Mark 10:27 -
But Jesus looking on them says, "With men
it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with
God."
GOD IS BELIEF. We
find God in our BELIEF IN GOD. Without BELIEF, God is just
a concept ... one that we may understand ... or one that may elude us.
The Master Mind Jesus taught, "it is done unto you as you
believe." If I believe that God can be angry or that God
withholds from me ... then I will experience that BELIEF. If, on
the other hand, I believe that God loves me with an ever-lasting love
and that I can "ask and receive" whatever Good may be required
for today ... then I will experience that BELIEF.
Our work then, is to cultivate and foster the
BELIEFS that create the conditions and circumstances that we desire to
experience. In Religious Science we know that we connect with God
in MIND ... MIND being the inlet and outlet of our receptivity and
expression of the Divine Mind. Mind is fluid in Its acceptance and
rejections of ideas and thoughts. The Divine Mind is always
responding to us ... but we don't always consciously recognize that this
is so.
Think about what it would be like to be
in a conversation with someone where you are attempting to tell them
something but ... instead of listening ... they talk incessantly and
don't hear a word that you have said. This is what many people do
with God ... they are so busy talking ... and telling God how miserable
they are ... telling their friends how miserable they are ... and
telling their family how miserable they are ... that they don't take the
time to "listen" for the ideas and inspirations that will
solve their problems. The same thing happens with people who are
resentful, arrogant, stubborn or defensive ... THEY CANNOT
HEAR THE DIVINE through the brick wall they have created in their
mind. This is why we don't "argue for the Truth" ...
because we would be talking to a brick wall.
NOTHING IS
IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD ... but this doesn't mean anything unless we BELIEVE
THAT IT IS SO. We arrive at a conviction of BELIEF through
"experience" ... as I register in my consciousness that this PRINCIPLE
OF BELIEF is no different than knowing that 4 x 4 = 16 ... I
begin to experience the results of my BELIEF. Knowing that the
results that I experience are subject to MY BELIEFS ... I can begin to
foster and nurture the BELIEF that whatever Good I want to experience is
possible ... for impossible is an illusion to God ... then I can know
that it is an illusion for me as well. For instance, if I am
looking to realize more money in my Life ... I can know that I can draw
money into my experience by believing that I can have it ... for the
movement of money into my experience has nothing to do with the
circumstances and conditions that I am experiencing ... it is TOTALLY
DEPENDENT ON MY BELIEFS. I am only separate and apart
from my Good in my mind ... as I use the ONE MIND
WHICH IS GOD, I can draw it into my experience.
I will always remember and never forget a
news article I read about twenty or so years ago when the Maharishi
Mahesh Yogi was building a new complex in Fairfield, Iowa and he was
asked, "where is the money coming from?" ... he replied
simply, "from wherever it is now." This is the BELIEF
that demonstrates ... and what one man/woman can do ... every man/woman
can do ... for "It is the Father that Doeth
the work," the Master Teacher explained ... my work is to KNOW THAT
ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD AND THAT THE SEEMINGLY IMPOSSIBLE IS
BUT AN ILLUSION.
And
So It Is!
