"To
believe your own thought, to believe that what is true for you in your
private heart is true for all men, - that is genius. ... Trust thyself:
every heart vibrates to that iron string. Accept the place the
divine providence has found for you, the society of your contemporaries,
the connexion of events. Great men have always done so ... " -
Ralph Waldo Emerson, Self Reliance
Some
people are intimidated by those who have a healthy sense of confidence
and self-assurance. And often people who exude confidence are
considered arrogant or egotistical. But arrogance and confidence
are very different states of consciousness. Arrogance is derived
from a sense of low self-esteem and lack of confidence. A healthy
humility is a good thing in our relationship with God ... but, we must
never lose sight of the Truth that we are expressing the Life of God ...
and in this knowing we must "see ourselves as God sees us."
Emerson wrote,
"To believe your own thought, to believe that what is true for you
in your private heart is true for all men, - that is genius." ...
but, to the world, genius is not often the conclusion. Instead,
the world will often want to "shame" or find fault with the
person who reaches this conclusion in their mind. The Master Mind
Jesus even cautioned us to not "cast our pearls before swine"
... in other words, some things are best kept to one's self. And
as many of the great metaphysicians have stated, it is best to keep what
is between us and God in secret until it is made manifest in the
physical realm.
Emerson's great instruction was for us to stop
holding a sense of separation from the One Mind ... to "trust"
our thoughts ... to have great confidence in what we believe to be true.
We are all using the same Mind ... and we are always receiving from It.
We receive from It, the thoughts, words and imaginings that we
"accept" from It. And
here we find something new that we can use as part of scientific prayer
or spiritual mind treatment ... a technique the world would call
"shameless self-promotion."
Why do I refer to it as "shameless self-promotion?" ...
it is because for most of us, the words that we use are not "power
words" ... and this is why for many people their treatments or
prayers, do not manifest in any great way. Sure, most people will
do prayer or treatment for success and they will experience an increase
in success ... but for most, the increase is minimal ... and temporary.
Why? Because their treatments do not have enough power and
authority in them ... they contain far too much humility ... and
therefore the "increase" is minimal and transient because
there has been no great impression made upon the subconscious mind.
When we speak
or think our prayers or treatments, we must "impress upon" the
subconscious the ideas that we choose to experience, and "impress
upon" the subconscious that we are ready to accept that which we
are declaring to be so. We must be definite about "who we
are" and "what we accept for and about our self."
Here is an example of how to use "shameless
self-promotion" in a prayer-treatment for Success:
"Realizing
that God has created greatness within me, I know that my success is
always assured. All that I do is accomplished from the brilliant
ideas that flow from the One Mind through my mind. I embody the
genius and ability to always recognize successful ideas and the right
direction in which to expand the great success that is mine now.
God has gifted me with a brilliant mind and I consciously and
consistently have the awareness to distinguish between good ideas and
great ideas ... and I always claim the great idea as mine. I am a
role model for success and I continually receive recognition for the
highest level of performance from the highest levels of leadership in my
profession. Today and every day, I expect the best and I receive
the best that Life has to offer me. My words, my thoughts and my
imagination are alive with success, accomplishment and genius ... and I
manifest success, accomplishment and genius in all things and in all
ways, now."
The purpose of prayer or
spiritual treatment is to demonstrate God, or Good, in our experience.
The greater our consciousness of Good, the greater the Good we can
demonstrate. But, greatness is not for the timid ... or those who
are hindered by "false humility" ... it is for those of us who
are willing to shamelessly self-promote ourselves and to promote the
ideas that we choose to manifest in our experience ... within our own
mind. And when these ideas are established in our consciousness
... they will exist in our experience!
AND
SO IT IS!
Keep
the faith!
