AS
we move from our human limitation of believing only in what we see,
hear,  feel, taste and touch, and open our minds and hearts to the Divine
Impulse, we can understand that all that we see, hear, feel, taste and
touch is but a limited part of the Infinity that Is. In this
understanding we come into the realization that we are a "point of
expression" of God, that all that we see is but "points of
expression" of God. God Is The Giver of every Good thing for
God Is Life Itself. God Is All and we must recognize within
our very own consciousness that God Is All Power, All Presence and All
Intelligence. So as we pray, we must pray affirming this Truth,
that we are One with the One Life, the One Presence, the One Power and
the One Intelligence. Anything less, is but a prayer that lacks
understanding and attempts to limit the Infinite.
Most of us have had to "un-learn" so much of what we know
about God and our relationship to the Universe. To
seek God within, rather than to pray to a God in the heavens, is a great
shift in our understanding. Dr.
Holmes, Founder of Religious Science, realized how difficult this was
for Jesus to teach......... but he knew that the Master Teacher
was teaching us how to pray and realize the answer to our prayers.
"Ask knowing that it is," the Master
Mind Jesus instructed us, and the only place we can "know that it
is," is within our consciousness.
The
following is a prayer written by Dr. Joseph Murphy that affirms our true
relationship with God. After you read this prayer, take a few
moments to sit in the Silence and allow these ideas to permeate your
consciousness: "Thou wilt keep him in
perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trust-eth
in thee," (Isaiah 26:3) I know that the inner desires of my
heart come from God within me. God wants me to be happy.
God's will for me is life, love, truth, and beauty. I mentally
accept my good now, and I become a perfect channel for the Divine.
I am an expression of God. I am Divinely directed in all my ways,
and I am always in my true place, doing the thing I love to do. I
refuse to accept as truth the opinions of man, for my mind is a part of
God's mind, and I am always reflecting Divine wisdom and Divine
intelligence. God's ideas unfold within my mind in perfect
sequence. I am always poised, balanced, serene, and calm, for I
know that God always will reveal to me the perfect solution to all my
needs. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want for any good
thing. I am Divinely active and Divinely creative. I sense
and feel the rhythm of God. I hear the melody of God whispering
its message of love to me. -

We must pray in our own words as our words come from our consciousness
and our awareness of the Indwelling Presence of God, however, reading
the prayer above a few times each day for a couple of weeks should
create a greater sense of our One-ness with God and bring us into a
greater sense of our true nature and relationship with God.

cannot fail once we surrender to this Power, Presence and Intelligence
we call God with conviction.
"I of mine own
self can do nothing," Jesus stated ........ "it is the Father
that work-eth in me." From
Dr. Holmes again:
"Just keep right on knocking at the doorway of your consciousness
until every "no" becomes a "yes," every negation, an
affirmation, every fear, a faith. You cannot fail if you remain
steadfast."
