1 Chronicles 4:10 - And
Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me
indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me,
and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me!
And God granted him that which he requested.
There
is a Power and Presence within us that sustains us, maintains us and
protects us. This is the "Father Within," according to
the Master Mind, Jesus, or the "Christ." This
"Christ" within us is Perfect, Whole and Complete. No
mistake can touch it and no experience can diminish Its Perfection,
Wholeness and Completeness. Only the mind of man in his wrong
thinking can act against this Perfection within. Only the mind of
man attempts to diminish this Perfection in others. In other
words, the mind of man can and often does act as the anti-Christ.
Why does man do it? He does it in ignorance of the Law, ignorance
of the reality of the true nature of himself and others. Only man looks
at himself and others as evil or good, neither of which can ever be
true. The Rabbi Jesus stated, "why doest thou call me good,
only the Father is good." Likewise, how can we call anyone
evil, when it is only confused behavior that could ever possibly be evil
and not man himself who is created in the image and likeness of God.
This "Christ" within, is within every man, every woman and
every child. When we make judgments of good and evil or belittle
each other because of the color of our skin, our nationality, our
religion, our gender, our sexual orientation, our height, weight or
whatever, we are crucifying the "Christ" within ourselves and
the "Christ" within our fellow man. All the evil known
to the world begins at the heart of this crucifixion of the
"Christ" within ourselves and others. This judgment of
good and evil is but a low-level of hate that accumulates in the
"race consciousness" of man, and creates diseases, war,
murder, hatred, child abuse, spousal abuse, racism, homophobia,
anti-Semitism, gang violence and more. Each of us is affected by
this "race consciousness" at the level of our acceptance or
the level of our inability to eradicate it from our own consciousness.
It causes mothers and fathers to destroy the perfection in their
children and it separates us from each other to the level that our
ignorance becomes a fearful difference. There is no "rest for
the wicked" because as we sow, so shall we reap and each of us
knows this on a subjective level at all times.
How do we heal our consciousness of the effects of this "race
consciousness?" We can only eliminate it from our
consciousness by turning to the "Christ" within through
meditation and prayer. The "Christ" at the center of us
is untouched by the "race mind" and remains Perfect, Whole and
Complete. But many of us have layers and layers of negativity
gained from accepting the false beliefs of our parents, our friends, our
neighbors and the garbage hurled at us from our television sets and
radios. We have believed wrongly and have accepted the judgments
of good and evil and we have judged not only others wrongly, but we
continue to judge ourselves wrongly.
This belief in duality, that there can be both
good and evil, has destroyed so many throughout history and we continue
to declare it as truth over and over again as we judge ourselves as less
than perfect, less than whole and less than complete. How many of
us can look in the mirror and tell ourselves we are beautiful without
feeling immodest? Can we tell another person how beautiful
"we are" without feeling uncomfortable? Most of us
cannot - but it is the truth. We are beautiful, we are glorious,
we are magnificent, because we are only expressing that which Is, the
"Christ" within us, and when we deny this truth, we are
crucifying It."
And
So It Is!
