"It
is no secret what God can do. What He's done for others, He'll do
for you. With arms wide open, He'll pardon you. It is no
secret what God can do."
- from the song, "It Is No
Secret" written by Carl Stuart Hamblen in 1949
This ministry
receives lots of requests for help from people looking for someone to
share their life with ... both men and women. And this is a very
good thing. And since we are going to be celebrating Valentine's
Day this week, it is a good time to review how to find the right man or
woman to share our life with.
The first step in all
metaphysical work is to decide what we want. And this is also true
when it comes to demonstrating companionship, whether it be for a
relationship or for marriage. And it makes no difference whether
we are looking for a man or a woman ... or whether we are gay and
lesbian or heterosexual. The process is the same; first, we must
know what we want. And we must be very honest about this. If
we have any ulterior motives; i.e. would my family approve of this
person ... or I don't want someone too handsome or too beautiful because
that would make me feel insecure. Choosing qualities that we
desire in our ideal mate, must be chosen from a place of confidence and
trust that the Infinite desires for us to be happy, fulfilled, and most
of all confident and self-assured.
You might think ... well,
that sounds good but I know a lot of people who are in dysfunctional
relationships and marriages. And I would say to you, eliminate
this thought from your mind or otherwise that is what you will
demonstrate in your own life. When we use the Law of Attraction to
manifest our ideal relationship we must give up, in our mind, our old
beliefs and ideas that do not support us in creating a wonderful and
joy-filled relationship or marriage. Always keep in mind ... we
are not choosing a relationship for others ... but for our self.
So, whatever our "old opinions" of other people's marriages or
relationships may be ... let's give them up and put our entire focus on
the "ideal" marriage or relationship that we choose for our
self.
Once we have made the decision as to the
qualities that our "ideal" man or woman should possess ...
then we need to honestly look within ourselves and realize if our own
ideals are in line with those that we seek in our mate. We will
only attract to ourselves that which is "like" that which we
believe to be true. If we are still holding on to
self-depreciating ideas about our self ... or holding on to negative
thoughts about prior relationships or marriages ... then we must give
them up. The Law of Attraction is "precise" ... it
precisely attracts to us that which is like what we "think"
.... and on a human level this is not always easy to admit ...
but, most of us, if we examine our patterns of thought honestly ... will
realize that this is the truth. When we "discover" that
this is true ... it does not come to us to beat us up or to create shame
or self-blame ... but for us to use our mind to think in another
direction ... towards that which we truly want and desire to be.
Always remember, and never forget, that the Infinite is always seeking
to express a greater Good through us ... as us, and for us. And if
something negative comes to our mind, don't just dismiss it ... instead,
begin to dwell on that which is good and desirable to experience ...
dwell on the qualities of Spirit; happiness, joy, love and truth.
The past will then diminish in our mind and along with it the remnants
of negativity which remain in our consciousness.
I believe that everyone can attract to
themselves their "ideal" man or woman to share their life.
I base this belief on a simple concept: "what one can do, all
can do." This is a Universal Principle. And everything
that we "accept" in our mind that is aligned with Truth, has a
perfect correspondent. Here is a simple "treatment" for
finding our ideal:
As I recognize God ... I am recognizing the Source
of my Good. This Good indwells me and fills my mind with Its
Presence. I know and accept that what God realizes for me, (name),
is happiness, joy, love and peace. I am at peace with the desires
of my heart, knowing that my Good, my ideal mate, is available to me
through the Universal Law of Attraction. I feel the presence of
this woman/or man, in my mind now. I know that this is a spiritual
attraction, as it is the Spirit of God moving through my mind as
acceptance and love. I blend perfectly with this woman/or man, and
I accept that we know and love each other now. What I accept in my
mind, I attract to me in the physical and so I give thanks that this is
so and prepare myself to share my life in companionship and love.
I release these words with confidence and trust knowing that God accepts
my word as the truth for me now.
AND SO IT IS!
Keep
the faith!
